7 Keys to Be Purposeful in Life

Recently, I have been challenged to embrace the calling of a focused Christian. In a world of much noise, remaining focused can be a challenge. Often, even in Christian circles, distractions may deter one from his or her convictions of faith in Christ. 

But our focus must be Christ and the high calling He beckons us. Christ was so focused on His purpose on Earth that He completed His mission with perfection. The distractions packaged in shiny statuses did not distract Him from the ultimate purpose of His being on Earth. From Christ, we learn that diligent focus yields completion and perfection of our purpose on Earth. 

“Looking unto Jesus…” Hebrews 12:2. True believers in Christ must like Christ, develop the fortitude to focus on the Father irrespective of all the attractions of good things and distractions from aversions that discourage because that is the secret that yields fruitfulness in our walk with Him. 

Areas to focus on:

1. Focus on investing time into your relationship with God through Christ
2. Focus on reading the Bible daily and seek understanding from the Holy Spirit through prayer 
3. Focus on developing your convictions and the values and principles that govern your life 
4. Focus on building a godly family and home 
5. Focus on serving the Lord and others by utilizing the gifts He has given you 
6. Focus on perfecting the work of your hands (ie: academic, professional) and pursue excellence 
7. Focus on heaven and do that which is required to gain entry
