I figured before I started posting style ideas, to give an idea of my personal style and what is to be expected on the blog. I would consider my style as:
M–MODEST
E–ELEGANT
C- CHRIST-INSPIRED
When it comes to style, I take special interest in pieces such as:
- Blazers/Jackets: solid colors, etc
- Scarves: prints, color, etc
- Hats: bowed, any
- Belts: skinny, thick, solid earth-toned colors, etc
- I love COLOR: Solid, bright, earth-toned, khaki, etc
- Prints: floral, animal, plaid, African, etc
- Skirts: jeans, non-jeans, etc
- Textures: ruffles, bows, rosettes, jeweled-designed, lace, etc
- Tights: bright, solid colors, prints, etc
- Shoes: flats, low-medium pointy heels, peep-toed, wedge, etc
I will be posting style inspiration for:
- Church
- Miscellaneous
Quick Note:
I love rotating/reusing pieces in my wardrobe.
What do I mean by that? Well, I basically try not to wear one combination of an outfit twice (unless if I really liked it). Meaning, I may wear a yellow top, black purse with brown shoes and a jeans skirt; but by reusing/rotating, I will wear a different pair of shoes, same black purse and a different skirt with the same yellow top worn in the previous “put-together”. I hope I am being well understood. In this case, I think it is better communicated visually. I find that rotating/reusing is fun, not to mention I have more ways to mix-match! You’ll see what I mean in future posts.I love getting creative with clothes and accessories! 🙂
One last thing:
I do not indulge in‘name-brands.’
If something looks to my liking, reasonably prized, then it is mine ;-)
