“The earth is the Lord‘s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.“- Psalm 24:1.
It is of great importance to understand that as the verse above states the whole earth is God’s, and so is everything that is in it. We belong to God; our bodies, soul and spirit all belong to Him. Sometimes we need to be reminded that all that we have be it time, talent, position, title, wealth though we worked diligently with our hands to acquire such all belong to God and that He is the One who gives us power to make wealth and do all that we are able to do.
Paul the Apostle says…
“But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.”-1 Corinthians 15:10
Even though the world and all that is in the world belongs God; yet, He created us human beings and set us as managers of His “fullness” of the earth and has further placed upon us a great responsibility of taking good care of everything and every person that is in our possession. We are encouraged to live selfless lives even as Jesus Christ gave His body selflessly not demanding His will but the will of our Father for our redemption – not claiming anything as our own but seeing that it is by the grace of God that we are who we are and have all that we have; giving glory to God always for who we are, what we have, and where He is taking us. Praise ye the Lord!
