Message: “And the Lord visited Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did unto Sarah as he had spoken. For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God hath spoken to him” Genesis 21:1, 2.
What has God spoken to you? How long has it been since that promise was given to you from the Lord, 1, 2, 3, 4, 10, 20 years? Wait for Him. As He did it for Sarah and Abraham, He will do it for you as well for His word/promise will not go back to Him void, it must fulfill the purpose for which it was spoken concerning you (Isaiah 55: 11).
Whether you are trusting God for a job, marriage partner, admission into higher institution, fruit of the womb, promotion, etc, God will give it to you according to the season that He has ordained for you to receive it. It was so with Abraham and Sarah in the bible. God promised them a child in their old age. Although it seemed impossible according to human understanding and logic, yet, God fulfilled His word “at the set time” Genesis 21:1,2. He didn’t fail.
Therefore, no matter how long something is taking to be physically manifested in your life, don’t falter and waver keep abiding in Christ, stand upon the promises of God, keep praying and don’t give up! There is a “set time” in your life, the Lord will not disappoint you, your eyes will behold that which you have longed for just as Abraham and Sarah lived to see the birth of their promised child in their old age as promised by God!

Modesty: Many at times, I have come across people who adhere to modesty in dress as a uniform that comes on and off. When they attend church services there is a type of clothing that they put on in contrast to when they are not at church. These people have not fully grasped the essence of modesty. They find it easier to ‘rend their garments’ – in other words, abide by the outward show of modesty without a changed heart.
God is saying to such people to not just abide by the outward ‘rules’ of Christian dress, but to give of their hearts to Him to purge and transform, so that modesty is not just a Sunday affair, but a lifestyle that gives glory to God. God is searching for women that are pure, gracious, and inwardly beautiful.
Give Him a chance today to do the inward work so that your outward appearance will emanate his intended beauty! This inner change requires our selfless presentation of our bodies to the Lord in patience and with prayer for His divine work to be perfected in us.
Marriage: I seriously encourage singles to wait on the Lord when it comes to the choice of a life partner. Don’t just put yourself on an online dating site just to be seen. God sees you, He created you and will lead you to the right guy for you if you trust Him.

If you are ‘discovered’ by your spouse to be on social media platforms where you are already active like Facebook, Instagram etc, then pray and ensure that it’s the Lord’s leading. But I wouldn’t recommend registering for an online dating site specifically for finding a future spouse.
I know that it can be challenging for single ladies when it seems that they are ready for marriage but there is no guy in sight. Before I got married, I was one of two young women in my local church. The young men at the time were not all that serious with the Lord. Technically there was no one that was a good suitor for me in that church.
But God literally moved my husband across the country to where I was! I had never met him or even knew that he was in existence. If I had focused on the limitations of my environment as far as men to marry and walked by sight, I would have greatly limited God. By God’s grace, my faith in the Lord was active and I was busy in the work of the Lord and He met my need.
So once again, I encourage you to please wait on the Lord, sis. It may be taking longer than you anticipated but the wait is well worth it. The world needs to hear your testimony. Allow the Lord to write it out so that it can have a greater impact. Please don’t take shortcuts. While you wait, add value to yourself by completing your educational pursuits, gain financial literacy and profitable employment, serve others with your time, keep your body pure by abstaining from sex, masturbation, pornography etc all which defiles you before God. I discuss more of this in the video below.

Motherhood: When I became pregnant with our daughter, I knew that I was pregnant even before taking a pregnancy test. We had actually had a previous pregnancy loss from our very first pregnancy shortly after our wedding and so I had some experience with being pregnant. I also did lots of research that confirmed to me that I was in fact pregnant due to the signs and symptoms that I was experiencing. The interesting thing about pregnancy is that even when you know that you are pregnant, there is a waiting period before a pregnancy test can detect a positive result.
The pregnancy hormone has to be given the time to develop enough to truly confirm pregnancy. With the previous pregnancy loss in mind, I was anxious about the viability of this second pregnancy. But we were trusting God. The evidences in my body were intensifying, but I still had to wait. Out of anticipation, I took the pregnancy test prematurely and of course it turned out to be negative. Patience was key. Waiting is difficult, but waiting is necessary because it allows time to perfect whatever it is that we are expecting.
If you are waiting to be a mom like Sarah in the first part of the blog today, I want to encourage you that there is hope for you. The journey to motherhood can be full of many challenges and my husband and I have had our share and Sarah would tell you the same! However, there are examples in scripture of women who trusted God with their womb and were not disappointed. Yes, seek medical intervention because there are tests that can be done to detect problems; but do this with prayer. Read God’s word especially those examples of Sarah, Hannah, and Elizabeth. Believe God’s word. Confess God’s word. Pray God’s word over your womb and your spouse’s body. Your testimony is around the corner! Today, I rejoice because my daughter is a reality! Praise the Lord!

God bless you Sis. Charity, I do appreciate the timely words of wisdom
This is no coincidence that I also studied the book of Gensis 21 on Thursday. Waiting is not easy especially when you have people in your life comparing you with others. It makes the pressure worse 😪 Help me Lord to draw strength in your presence. Thank you Mrs Charity. God bless your home.
