So my church was basically infested with the color red last Sunday, Christmas Day & I abs. loved it! Red, red everywhere! I am not exactly sure of what the history is behind the color red worn on Christmas day and during the Christmas season, but I find it so beautiful. Maybe I should do some research. Anyway, this is what I wore on Christmas this year; in other words, last Sunday. (12/25/11)
I didn’t really do much combining with this outfit because it is a set–the top and bottom (I love the polka dotted skirt J). However, with modesty in mind, I did plug in a black tank top to cover up the open portion of the top as seen below. Also a pair of black stockings was worn for protection from the cool breeze, along with a pair of black patent shoes. Added is a black hat with a floral accent (look closely to see floral aspect of hat) for giving reverence to God in His house (see 1Corinthians 11:5,6). The color red doesn’t fall into the category of my “favorite colors” per se, but style-wise, I think it is pretty awesome. 😉
